Woman knocks Delhi HC doors for Australian Visa, medical assistance to ailing son

-

New Delhi, Jun 16 (ILNS) A petition has been filed in the Delhi High Court, seeking direction to the Ministry of External Affairs for assisting in procuring visa from the Australian High Commission and providing appropriate medical assistance to the petitioner’s critical son in Australia.

The petition has been filed by a widow, seeking direction to facilitate her to get Tourist Visa from the Australian High Commission. The son of the petitioner is suffering from a critical condition, called End-Stage Renal Failure, and is admitted to St Vincent Hospital, Melbourne since June 8.

The plea stated, “Despite there being extreme urgency, the petitioners have not heard anything on their Visa applications, nor has there been any response either from the Australian High Commission in India, or from the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India and other officials.”

The plea sought direction to the Union of India through the Ministry of External Affairs to facilitate petitioner in getting Visa Visitor (Tourist) subclass 600 from the Australian High Commission.

The petitioner further sought direction for the Ministry of External Affairs to contact the Hospital authorities and supervise the medical treatment. ILNS/GM/RJ
