New Delhi Jul, 23 (ILNS):The Supreme Court today adjourned the hearing of a plea filed by BJP leader Manoj Kumar Tiwari challenging the Delhi High court judgment which refused to quash the summoning order issued by the magistrate in a defamation case filed by Delhi Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia.
The Division Bench of Justice Indira Banerjee and Justice V.Ramasubramanian after hearing both the sides adjourned the matter and listed it for further hearing on August 25, 2021.
Senior Counsel Dr. AM Singhvi appeared for AAP leader Manish Sisodia. Senior counsel R. Venkatramani who appeared for Member of Parliament Manoj Kumar Tiwari and Vijender Gupta objected to the application filed by Manish Sisodia for Vacating stay.
The notice was issued on January 27, 2021 by granting an interim stay of the operation of the summoning order passed by ACMM-I, Rouse Avenue Court Complex, New Delhi./ILNS/SNG
