Summer Vacations of SC preponed to May 7

New Delhi, Apr 26 (ILNS) The Supreme Court today preponed its Summer Vacations to May 7, in view of the rising number of Novel Coronavirus cases.

Chief Justice NV Ramana today held an urgent meeting with the representatives of the Bar Council of India (BCI), the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) and the Supreme Court Advocates on Record Association (SCAORA), said Joseph Aristotle S, Honorary Secretary of SCAORA. The Court will tentatively reopen on June 28, he added.

The CJI also agreed to provide suitable area for establishing COVID-related medical facilities, including setting up of at least 60 beds, conducting RT-PCR test and getting the Court members vaccinated, Dr Joseph said here. ILNS/GM/RJ
