SDM, Delhi withdraws order requisitioning 100 rooms at Ashoka Hotel for judiciary

-

New Delhi, Apr 29 (ILNS): The Delhi High Court was today informed that the SDM (Sub-Division), Chanakyapuri has withdrawn the April 25 order, through which the district administration had requisitioned 100 rooms of Ashoka Hotel for setting up a COVID health facility exclusively for Delhi High Court Judges and other judicial officers and their family members.

The Bench of Justices Vipin Sanghi and Rekha Palli had strongly criticised this move by the Delhi administration and had taken suo motu cognisance of the same. The Court made it clear that at no point, had the Court asked for this facility.

Advocate Santosh Kumar Tripathi, appearing for the Delhi government, showed the order to the Court. Following this, the Bench disposed of the suo motu proceedings. ILNS\KR\SJ\RJ
