SCBA to start vaccination drive from Monday at SC premises


New Delhi, May 14 (ILNS): The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) will begin the COVID-19 vaccination drive for its members and their families between the age group of 18 to 45 years from Monday, giving dose to 50 people in a day.

According to a statement issued by the SCBA, the jabs will be given from Monday to Friday between 10 am to 1 pm at the apex court premises.

This vaccination would be for members and their immediate family members only. Those interested may give their names, age and SCBA membership number on email, it added.

The SCBA office will send a notification a day before on first come first serve basis.

On the basis of names given to SCBA office and those members who get a message a day before from SCBA office, the members can come for vaccination.

The SCBA requested: “Right now, the association is getting only 50 doses and once the doses are increased by the Delhi Government, as there is shortage right now which we all are seeing, then we would increase the numbers from 50 in a day.”

The statement from SCBA said: “The Covishield shot will be given. Members are also requested to bring their Aadhar cards when they come for vaccination and wear double mask for their own safety and safety of others. Members are requested not to come empty stomach and eat proper breakfast or lunch, depending on the time they are coming for the vaccination.

“Kindly note that we don’t have the facilities of a full fledged hospital and also the ambulance which was there last time from Fortis Hospital, is also not there. Those suffering from any ailment or having recovered from COVID-19 should consult their doctor before coming for Covid vaccination,” it added. ILNS/KR/SS/RJ
