New Delhi, Apr 29 (ILNS) The Supreme Court today has deferred hearing a Plea seeking cancellation of bail in a murder case which was given by the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
A two judges bench Justice Navin Sinha and Justice Krishna Murari was hearing the petition filed by brother of deceased seeking cancellation of bail allowed to accused Gagandeep Singh by the Punjab and Haryana High Court while noting, “all five injuries found to be simple in nature on basis of medical treatment and ortho and surgical opinion.”
Whereas, it has been alleged that the deceased has been hit several times by the plough installed on a tractor by rotating the tractor round and round around the deceased.
Earlier, the Bench presided by Justice Navin Sinha and Justice Ajay Rastogi, had stayed the order dated of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana.
However, the Punjab & Haryana High Court had allowed bail stating, “At this stage, without meaning anything on merits of the case and taking into consideration the situation arising out of COVID-19 Pandemic, I deem it appropriate to enlarge the petitioner on regular bail, subject to his furnishing adequate bail bonds and surety bonds to the satisfaction of the trial Court/concerned Duty Magistrate.” ILNS/KY/RJ
