SC issues Circular about sitting of Vacation Benches

New Delhi, May 7 (ILNS) The Supreme Court today issued a circular, stipulating directions for matters that are to be heard during the first part of Summer Vacation.

According to the Circular, from May 10 to 16, two Division Benches will sit on Tuesday and Thursday.

Two Division Benches will conduct hearing through Video-Conferencing on Tuesday and Friday from May 17 to 25, the circular said.

The matter, whether fresh or after notice extremely urgent, mentioned by Advocates/Party in Person requesting for listing during summer vacation, will be listed before the Vacation Bench. The Advocates / Party in Person desirous of getting their matter listed before the Vacation Benches may send their request for extremely urgent listing, incorporating their reasons online in the e-mail address mention.sc@sci.nic.in” , the Circular read.

It was stated that extremely urgent matters, which are received up to Thursday, will be listed on Tuesday and extremely urgent matters, which are received up to Monday, will be listed on Friday.

Moreover, the Circular clarified that the constitution of Vacation Benches for the second and third part of Vacation, from May 26 to June 10 and June 11 to June 27, will be notified later on. ILNS/SHV/RJ
