SC announces schedule for Summer Vacation

New Delhi, May 7 (ILNS): The Registrar (Administration) of Supreme Court today notified that the Summer Vacation of apex court will start from May 10, 2021, and the Court will reopen on June 28, 2021.

As notified by the Additional Registrar, the Summer Vacation of the apex court was advanced this year due to the surge in COVID-19 cases.

Two Division Benches have been nominated for hearing extremely urgent miscellaneous matters during the Summer Vacation between May 10 to 25. These include the Bench of Justice Uday Umesh Lalit & Justice BR Gavai, and the Bench of Justice Vineet Saran and Justice Dinesh Maheshwari.

Two other benches are also appointed to hear urgent matters during summer vacation between May 17 to 2. These include the Bench of Justice Vineet Saran & Justice BR Gavai, and Bench of Justice Dinesh Maheshwari & Justice Aniruddha Bose.

The Constitution of Benches for the remaining part of the vacation would be notified later.

The Registry will remain open from 1000 hrs to 1700 hrs for all the Officers and staff members of the Registry except Group-C (non-clerical) staff, in whose case timings will be from 0930 hrs to 1730 hrs on all the days except Saturdays (other than June 26), Sundays and holidays, when it shall remain closed.
