New Delhi, May 7 (ILNS): A plea has landed before the Delhi High Court, alleging that Aam Aadmi Party MLA Imran Hussain is hoarding oxygen cylinders.
The plea has landed before the Bench of Justices Vipin Sanghi and Rekha Palli at a time, when all of Delhi is reeling under an acute shortage of the life-saving gas, within a surging COVID-19 pandemic.
The Bench has issued notice to the MLA, asking him to file a reply by Monday.
The petition has been filed by Vedansh Anand, saying: “The AAP Delhi Facebook social media handle has published a post, which mentioned (Translated from Hindi) ‘Delhi Cabinet Minister Mr Imran Husaain will be giving free oxygen to the people from his party office, which is located at Ballimaran, New Delhi. Anyone can get the oxygen after showing the doctor’s prescription.”
The Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted: “Strict action should be taken against the person, who is hoarding oxygen.” ILNS\GM\SJ\RJ
