New Delhi, May 12 (ILNS) A Delhi Court today reserved its order on the bail plea of Restaurateur Vineet Kalra, accused of black-marketing Oxygen Concentrators, amid the COVID-19 outbreak in the national capital.
Additional Sessions Judge at the South-East District Saket Court Complex Sandeep Garg said, “Kindly place the order by the Magistrate giving bail to accused in the Matrix Case. We will keep this matter for Order tomorrow at 10:00 am.”
Public Prosecutor (PP) Atul Shrivastava opposed the bail plea of Kalra. He said, “We have got the lab reports. Laboratory result shows that these machines (Oxygen Concentrator) are ineffective…that is why we need custodial interrogation. ‘Sanson ke Saudagar,’ their anticipatory bail should be dismissed.”
Senior Advocate Vikas Pahwa and Advocate Vineet Malhotra appeared for Kalra.
On May 7, 105 oxygen concentrators were recovered from two upscale restaurants in south Delhi’s Khan Market area, owned by Kalra. On May 8, police transferred the case to the Crime Branch. ILNS/KR/RJ
