MP High Court quashes PIL questioning delay in construction of boundary wall of Shriram Janki Temple in Gwalior

Gwalior, Jul 12 (ILNS) The Madhya Pradesh High Court on July 8 disposed of a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) regarding construction of boundary wall of Shriram Janki Temple at Bhitarwar in Gwalior, directing the petitioner to approach the Gwalior Collector for the same.

The Gwalior Division Bench of Justice Sheel Nagu and Justice Deepak Kumar Agarwal on July 8 observed that the issue involved various disputed questions of fact and therefore, it would be appropriate that the petitioner approaches the competent authority, which is the Collector of Gwalior.

“In case, the petitioner makes representation containing all grievances supported by documents before the Collector, Gwalior within 15 days along with copy of this order, the Collector shall consider the same and in case, grievances of the petitioner found to be true then appropriate remedial actions shall be taken as expeditiously as possible,” ordered the Court.

This petition, filed by Chandra Prakash Sen, raised the alleged public cause that despite grant of sanction and release of funds for the construction of boundary wall of Shriram Janki Temple at Bhitarwar, the work was yet to be completed. Even after expiry of more than three years, the work was pending, due to certain persons wrongly obstructing the said construction, it added./ILNS/SNG
