Judicial custody of Wrestler Sushil Kumar extended till June 25

-

New Delhi, Jun 11 (ILNS) The Delhi Court today extended the judicial custody of Olympic Wrestler Sushil Kumar till June 25 in the murder case of a fellow Wrestler.

APP Atul Shrivastava appeared for the state, while Advocate Pradeep Rana appeared for Kumar, whose Judicial Custody ended today.

According to the prosecution, the Gold Medalist and other accused took Sagar Rana to Chhatrasal Stadium at gunpoint and beat him up mercilessly, leading to his death.

Earlier, the Rohini Court in Delhi had refused to grant anticipatory bail to Kumar in the murder case and sent to judicial custody on June 2, after he spent 10 days in police custody.

The Rohini Court had also dismissed a plea by Sushil for special food in prison, including health supplement containing protein, Omega-3 capsules, jointment capsules etc, earlier this month. ILNS/KR/RJ
