New Delhi, Jun 10 (ILNS) The Delhi High Court today dismissed the application of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s father Krishna Kishore Singh, for injunction against Sarla A Sarogi’s movie Nyay – the justice on the life and death of Rajput.
Hence, there will be no stay on the release of the film.
Krishna Kishore had also moved the High Court, alleging that people were taking advantage of his son’s death.
What the Court’s Bench of Justice Sanjeev Narula did, however, was that it directed the producers to maintain the accounts of the film.
Krishna Kishore’s appeal included a plea for a ban order against this movie and other ventures depicting the late Bollywood actor’s personal life, name, images, caricature, lifestyle, likeness in the form of a biopic or story.
Krishna Kishore’s argument was that the unfortunate death of the actor was seen as an “opportunity to get fame by developing different theories/stories”, and that this hurt the family’s reputation.
Other movies lined up for release on the same issue include “Suicide or Murder: A star was lost”, and “Shashank,” apart from a web series. ILNS\KR\SJ\RJ
