New Delhi, Jun 28 (ILNS) The Delhi High Court and District Courts will continue to conduct the proceedings online till July 23, as a precautionary measure against the third wave or Delta Plus variant of COVID-19.

The Full Court of Delhi High Court, through its office order today, while reviewing the existing arrangement of hearing of matters before the Delhi High Court and the District Courts in Delhi, observed that despite there being a decline in the number of COVID-19 cases in the NCT of Delhi, utmost precaution needs to be taken in view of the predicted third wave and limited availability of vaccines.

Considering the threat of Delta Plus variant, the Full Court (Delhi High Court) has resolved to adopt a policy of wait and watch, and to act cautiously, particularly in view of the loss of precious lives of Judicial Officers, Advocates and court staff.

Further through another office order, all Benches of the High Court as well as the Courts of Registrars/Joint Registrars (Judicial) shall continue to take up urgent matters, as per the existing arrangement through VC and additionally, the cases instituted in 2020 shall also be taken up by the High Court, as per roster, with effect from July 3, 2021.
