New Delhi, Jun 4 (ILNS) The Delhi High Court has issued notice to the Central Board of Secondary Examination on a petition filed by a mother, whose daughter is enrolled as a private candidate for the Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class X examination), as conducted by the CBSE and asked them to clarify their stand regarding the declaring of results of private students.
Justice Prateek Jalan asked the Counsel appearing for CBSE to reply, ”What is that separate scheme for students who are enrolled in the secondary school Certificate Examination, and when are you announcing that?”
The petition filed by the mother of class X student, sought clarification on the policy of the government declaring the students as pass who are privately enrolled in the secondary school certificate examination.
The petitioner submitted the respondents have cancelled the class X examination, vide notification dated 14th April,2021 and accordingly the students have been declared “Pass for the Secondary School Certificate Examination for Class X Examination”.
The petitioner is seeking notification regarding policy for marks/ results for the private students who are not enrolled or associated with any of the schools for declaring the students as pass for the Secondary School Certificate Examination.
While hearing the matter, the court inquired if Seema Dolo, the Counsel appearing for respondents, can accept notice on behalf of CBSE.
The Counsel agreed to accept the notice on behalf of CBSE.
The court noted that Class X exam has been cancelled by the CBSE and the students have been declared “Pass for the Secondary School Certificate Examination ” and no notification has been issued for the private candidates enrolled with the Central Board Of Secondary Examination.
Payal Bahl, Counsel for the petitioner and her daughter Mehak Bahl, pleaded for shortest date possible for the next hearing.
