Centre nominates Justice UU Lalit as NALSA Executive Chairman

New Delhi, May 17 (ILNS) President Ram Nath Kovind today nominated Supreme Court Judge, Justice U U Lalit, as Executive Chairman of the National Legal Services Authority.

“In exercise of the powers conferred under Clause (b) of sub-section (2) of Section 3 of the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987, the President is pleased to nominate Justice Uday Umesh Lalit, Judge, Supreme Court of India, as Executive Chairman, National Legal Services Authority, with immediate effect,” said the Notification issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice on May 14.
