Allahabad HC to hear PIL against cancellation of recruitment form of 69,000 Assistant Teachers

Allahabad, Apr 2 (ILNS) The Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court will hear on April 5, a writ petition filed against the cancellation of recruitment of 69,000 Assistant Teachers, by refusing an amendment in their online recruitment form.

Advocate Deepak Singh, filing the writ petition on behalf of Sandhya Sonkar and others, submitted that while filling the online form, the candidates of BEd and BTC filled the marks by considering (T) as a total in the score and integer, whereas ‘T’ meant Theory by Department. But nowhere in the recruitment mandate was ‘T’ interpreted as Theory.

The Advocate further submitted that on March 5, 2021, the Education Department issued a mandate and gave an opportunity to rectify many errors. Not only this, the candidates who were out of the state merit list, were also ordered to be included in the merit by reforming the error.

However, the candidate who made the above mistake, was not given the chance of third improvement, while all the candidates falling in the district and state merit list and on this basis, the selection of some candidates was also cancelled. Based on these facts, the candidates have filed a writ petition. ILNS/SNG/RJ
