A lawyer was found shot dead inside a district court complex in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh

Shahjahanpur, Oct 18 (ILNS) A lawyer was found shot dead inside a district court complex in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The deceased, identified as Bhupendra Pratap Singh, was found dead on the third floor of the Court complex.

According to reports, at around 11:45 pm, advocate Bhupendra Singh was shot dead in the ACJM office on the third floor of the court. A country-made pistol was also spotted near the body.

Advocate Bhupendra Pratap Singh was going to the record room for some work after reaching the court on Monday. During this, he was shot, due to which he died on the spot. At present, there is tremendous resentment among the lawyers.

On this incident, Shahjahanpur Superintendent of Police P S Anand said that in the initial investigation it has been found that lawyer Bhupendra Pratap was standing there alone. There was no one around him. He died of bullet injuries and a country-made pistol was found nearby.

Anand said that the forensic team has been called to the spot. Further action will be taken based on the investigation in the matter.

It is pertinent to note that In 2019, Uttar Pradesh state government counsel Nutan Yadav was shot dead at her official residence in Etah./ILNS/SS/SNG/
